This is a remote position.

Sportskeeda is hiring for the Frontend Engineer role. You will take leaps each week and start making an actual impact on the hundreds of millions of people who use Sportskeeda products directly. We wish to take the Sports content consumption experience to a whole different level. We already have 60 million monthly users at SK across our mobile web, app and desktop platforms.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Your work on creating a modern, lean, scalable, and beautiful application that grows and improves every day, will be consumed by millions every single day.
• Together with our product and design teams, you will turn product ideas and concepts into reality. You take pride in shipping features which directly impact millions of sport fans!
• Overcome the challenges associated with competing priorities: UX, page performance, SEO, stability, performance and latency.
• You will help break the business requirements into robust technical requirements.
• You will help drive the development efforts for some of our complex services and products.
• You take ownerships and initiatives for solving larger technical needs of the product and business.
• You will also work on reduc ing overheads and toils in day-to-day software development practices.

Requirements

Why we’ll love you:

• You know how the web works and have built web apps for scale.
• You are a master of creating modern visual and interactive web applications using modern tools and technologies. Knowledge of Vanilla JavaScript will be preferred.
• You have knowledge on best practices to follow when writing code or deploying to millions of our users on the website and App.
• You make well architected design choices when building systems/features even for the first users.
• You have experience writing Unit tests.
• You majorly rely on data to make decisions rather than assumptions.
• You are a team player and like working in a cross-functional setup.
• You have a strong penchant for learning and technology.
• We value people who can take a stand yet commit even when they disagree.
• Bonus points for built-in hacky-ness.
