Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant – Automation SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
Your primary role is to provide strategic guidance, leadership, and technical expertise in the field of software testing and quality assurance. You will work with clients to improve their software development and testing processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their software development and testing needs, providing expert advice and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test automation strategies and frameworks that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
- Identify and select appropriate testing tools and technologies to support automation efforts.
- Lead the creation of automated test scripts, test cases, and test suites to validate software functionality.
- Ensure that software testing processes meet industry standards and best practices, contributing to improved software quality.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the team, providing technical leadership and support.
- Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients to provide project updates, resolve issues, and manage client expectations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of SDET and test automation.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications we seek in you!
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Profound knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar technologies.
- Strong coding skills in languages like Java, Python, or C# for test script development.
- Ability to design comprehensive test cases and test scenarios that cover various aspects of software functionality.
Preferred qualifications
- In-depth understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor junior team members and lead automation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and client management skills to understand client needs and provide effective solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve testing challenges.
- A commitment to staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the software testing and SDET field.
- Relevant certifications in software testing and test automation, such as ISTQB, can be an added advantage.
