Foyer Hiring Drive Details:

You will be part of our early team, which means you get all the upside of building something of your own but with a capped downside. An opportunity to boost your career skipping the traditional hierarchy that exists in big tech. Having a far greater depth of time than at any mid-to-large tech company.

What you’ll be working on :

As an early hire, the work will be almost identical to the founders which means doing a bit of everything. Broadly it will lie in these three categories

1. Our stack comprises NextJS for front-end with Firebase as database. Fully serverless backend being a mix of google cloud functions and Express+node hosted via cloud-run.
2. Being a developer-first company, it’s critical for our success to lean on the engineering experience of the candidate to decide on product directions. So the candidate will have to have the ability to identify good vs bad UX.
3. Apart from this everything that one could imagine running a startup form part of the responsibilities. That means talking to users, brainstorming on hypotheses, helping in marketing, building a brand etc.

What our ideal candidate looks like 💅 :

• A generalist, ready to pick up anything and finish the task at hand even in uncharted territory.
• Extensive experience with Javascript, CSS, React/Next, Express
• Cares a lot about high quality, readable, structured code. Advocates best practices and architecture patterns. Is able to make trade-offs between extensibility, optimization and execution speed. Empowers others by reviewing code.
• Is autonomous, able to independently pick up tasks and full projects and work through them end-to-end
• Is product and user minded: is always focused on how their work will impact

Other details :

• We’ll offer a competitive stipend in the range of Rs 20-65 thousand per month depending on experience level and skill-set of candidate
• Location: Remote or Bangalore both works (in office preferred)
• Full-time (10-12 hours expectation in first 2-3 weeks, followed by 8-10hrs)
• Letter of Recommendation at the end of Internship
